"Pixies, the farmers called them." No they did not, to Cornish people (like me) they are piskies.

I have carried ST Piran's flag with me everywhere on my travels around the world whilst serving in the Army. Being from Penzance I have always held the county close to my heart. One sight of the flag of St Piran and it brings out the cornishmen and women no matter where in the world you are. I'm proud to say I'm Cornish and I'm proud to fly St Pirans flag. "one and all"

I come from an old Cornish family, and I remember my dad telling me about Knockers. Naturally i asked him who or what they were. He said "Well, believe it or not, any hard rock miner will tell you the same thing. You start chopping at the seam and the seam knocks back. The miners believe them to be spirits that inhabit the rock as if the rock itself has a conciousness. Make of that what you will!I know it sounds crazy, but there you are!
